Create Something Beautiful reflects each artist’s work aesthetically and conceptually. Beautifully rendered visuals weave delicately through personal reflections and abhorrent societal issues, creating hope, highlighting tensions to capture the complexity and diversity of the world around them,

Create Something Beautiful also reflects our founding members’ bold optimism and desire to contribute positively to the borderland region and its art community through the creation of La Mecha Contemporary, whose mission is to support women and other underrepresented artists through exhibition opportunities, mentorship, and community.

In this sense, Create Something Beautiful is more than just creating something aesthetically pleasing. It’s about creating something that has the power to inspire, provoke, and create change. It’s about using art as a tool for social and political transformation and positively impacting the world around us.
